Tuesday night

Its so hard to think of a title.  Something clever yet relevant.....that's not really me I guess...

Anyway, whats been happening around here you may ask?  Well, lets see

Last week Collin discovered a package on our front porch.  Now let me preface this by telling you that a few months back I wrote a "strongly worded letter" to Burger King.  We don't go there often, but when we do, we never get the right toys in the happy meal.  I always tell Collin that we do not get food specifically for the toys, but its really annoying when we don't get what we expect.  Not only in Norwalk, but Avon too.  So I thought that I would write a letter and tell then nicely that I would never be bringing my family to one of their restaurants again.  I was not fishing for anything, but all were hoping we were going to get some response from them.  Nothing happened for awhile and I wrote it off to the fact that they don't care that one insignificant family will not come back (we have since gone, and still not the right toys.  we even got toys from 2 years ago!)

Well, in the box was a form letter not really addressing the problem, but also toys from the last three promotions (thor, super soakers, and transformers).  Needless to say the boys were happy (Joe too).  I was secretly hoping for a gift card somewhere in the box, but no luck.

I also signed up for my first 5K.  Its at the end of the month.  We'll see how that goes.  I'm running almost everyday, but I don't know if I'll really be ready by then.

We have lots of birthdays in the family in the month of July.  At least 4 in the immediate extended family, and many more with cousins added in.  Happy Birthday Tiffany, Amanda, Scott and Steve!

Tomorrow we are heading over to Cedar Point in the early afternoon.  Joe is still home on his layoff, so we want to make the most of it.  We went to Toledo today.  My mom wanted to go to Levis Commons, and we also went and found a cupcake shop that we saw win a competition on Food Network.  We agreed that the cupcakes were not that special to us, but it was fun to tell the shop owner that waited on us, "Hey, I saw you on TV."  I put a photo of Collin and Tommy in front of the shop on facebook.  Mom and I had carrot cake, Collin chose vanilla, Joe had a turtle one, and Aidan chose chocolate.  Thomas shared my carrot cake, but also had a bite of the others as well.

Here is a cute picture of Sophia, it just had to be done.

I hope tonight I can get some sleep.  Maybe I'm starting to get a little nervous about my new job...and maybe a little upset that I only have about 2 1/2 weeks til I start.  But that just means that I am closer to the paycheck too...

Oh, and we are trying to have a garage sale this weekend...Friday and Saturday...keep your fingers crossed that it goes well
